BROOKS BACK AT UNITED 13/09/2010
Former Oxford United favourite Jamie Brooks has re-signed for Zamaretto League Division One South & West club Abingdon United.
The 27-year-old, whose professional career was cut short by illness, joins from Zamaretto Premier side Oxford City.
Whlist making around fifty appearances for OxfordUnited from 2005, Brooks (pictured) attracted attention from Arsenal before being struck down with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, which kept him out of football for eighteen months.
After a comeback with the U`s, he had spells at Brackley Town and Didcot Town, before his initial move to Abingdon.
Brooks, considered one of the best talents to come through United's books in recent years, scored thirteen goals for the U`s and signed for neighbouring City in September 2008.
