TITCHENER JOINS CHESTER 21/10/2010
Neil Young, manager of Evo-Stik League First Division North club Chester FC has improved his attacking options by signing young striker Alex Titchener from Evo-Stik Premier Division side Colwyn Bay.
Young admitted he had been delighted to secure the services of the forward who is a product of Crewe Alexandra’s academy, and had stepped up to the Railwaymen`s first-team squad last season.
He said: “Alex has played for me before and I’m hoping he will strengthen our line of attack with his pace.
“He’s only a young lad and he was on loan last season at Colwyn Bay and can provide competition for our other strikers.”
Titchener (pictured) earned rave reviews while at Crewe and is expected to go straight into the Chester squad for Saturday’s home game against Lancaster City at the Exacta Stadium.
