STAINFIELD TARGETS SOLID PILGRIMS RUN 20/06/2012
Blue Square Bet North club Boston United's Nathan Stainfield has vowed to become a better player – at both ends of the pitch.
The 23-year-old defender has signed up to stay with Boston United for a second season.
And after making the step up from the United Counties League Premier Division with Boston Town, he spent last term cutting his teeth in the Blue Square Bet North.
But now he has that experience under his belt, Stainfield (pictured) has pledged to improve his performances.
“Obviously, a regular run in the side is my priority,” he told The Boston Standard.
“But I’m also quite a statistical person.
“I don’t want to give as many penalties away, and I think I’ll be aiming to improve on that in my second season.
“I also want to score more goals.
“As a club, promotion is definitely our aim, but personally, it’s about scoring goals and keeping clean sheets."
