HILLIANS RECRUIT BUDD AND AKEHURST 20/06/2012
Ryman League Division One South club Burgess Hill Town have confirmed the signing of Darren Budd from league rivals Worthing - one of a handful of signings made by the club.
Budd (pictured) plays in a central midfield role he has previously played for Eastbourne Borough and Bognor Regis Town.
Meanwhile, Karl Akehurst has signed from Whitehawk. He is a hard working tough tackling midfield player, who spent his early years at Brighton & Hove Albion's youth academy.
Hillians assistant manager Adam Hinshelwood has also signed playing forms and will play his part on and off the pitch.
His professional career with Brighton and Hove Albion was sadly cut short with injury. He joined Hill from Sussex County League Selsey, where he was manager.
Hill have also confirmed the news that captain Lloyd Cotton has re-signed.
Also re-signing is Pat Harding, who played a big part in securing Hill's survival in the Ryman League Division One South last term.
