BRADING WITHDRAW FROM WESSEX LEAGUE
22/06/2012
Brading Town has reluctantly decided to withdraw its team from the Sydenhams Wessex League.

This is due to the ever increasing cost of mainland travel and League administration fees, which makes it unviable to continue in the present economic climate.

This decision has been widely supported within the Club.

This move will mean Brading Town will be well placed to concentrate on the Isle of Wight League, and will hope to go one better than last year’s runners-up in Division One.

It will also mean that the club's reserve team will be able to play their home matches at the Peter Henry Ground. This will integrate them closer to the club, which is something the club have been trying to achieve for some time, but proves difficult when they are playing their home games in Newport.

Brading Town will continue to work closely with, and develop the excellent relationship with Brading Town Colts.

Brading will re-enter Wessex League football at some stage in the near future, as and when the current financial climate improves.
