REID TARGETS SOLID SEASON WITH BUCKS 10/07/2012
AFC Telford can leave behind last season’s Blue Square Bet Premier survival struggles and target a mid-table finish in 2012-13.
That is the view of new attacking recruit Jake Reid (pictured) after he completed his move to the New Bucks Head.
The 25-year-old targetman spent the early days of pre-season on trial with his latest employers before earning a deal.
And Reid is confident Andy Sinton’s side can firmly establish themselves in the top flight of Non-League football after a long battle to avoid relegation last term.
“From what I’ve seen, I think we should definitely be trying to hit a mid-table finish,” he said.
“There are other clubs in the Conference with a similar structure to Telford who have done even better than that over the years but I think you have to be realistic in the targets you set yourself.
“The gaffer is instilling the right mentality into us and the ball is rolling in the right direction.”
