HAZEL IN AT MOLESEY 10/02/2003
Ryman League Division One South club Molesey have appointed Ian Hazel as their new manager in succession to Peter Johnson, whore resigned last week.
Hazel quit as boss of league rivals Tooting & Mitcham United in November and believes he is the man to rescue Molesey from a position which sees them just one point above the drop zone.
Hazel said: "I'm under no illusions about how tough it's going to be, but I wouldn't have taken the job if I didn't think we could escape.
"I saw the challenge that was involved and decided to take it on as I've always liked a challenge."
One of Hazel's first tasks will be to find replacements for th experienced Nko Ekoku and former Woking and Sutton United striker Dante Alighieri, who left to join rivals Leatherhead in the wake of Johnson's departure.
