QUAKERS OPT FOR WEDNESDAYS 26/07/2012
Ebac Northern League Division One club Darlington have announced that all of their midweek home fixtures will take place on Wednesdays.
The club, which begins life in the Northern League on August 18 against Bishop Auckland, says the the move is to assist players' fitness.
A club statement read: "The Quakers management team have made the decision in order to give players a longer opportunity to get over injuries and to assist generally with regards to training, rehabilitation and fitness levels.
"The club appreciates that some supporters may be disappointed with the decision but hope that they can appreciate the need to give the team every chance possible of having a successful league campaign."
The change from Tuesdays will not affect the home match Marske on August 21, which will be Quakers' first home fixture in the Northern League.
All of Darlington's home matches will be played at Bishop Auckland's Heritage Park.
