DOVELL BACK WITH BEES 15/08/2012
Ryan Dovell has rejoined Toolstation Western League Premier Division club Bridport – swapping Dorchester Town for the Bees.
The versatile forward left Bridport last summer to test himself at a higher level.
And after 36 appearances for the Blue Square Bet South Magpies, the 32-year-old has decided to return to St Mary’s Field, much to the delight of Trevor Senior (pictured).
Speaking after last night’s goalless draw at Bishop Sutton, the Bridport boss said: “It’s a big signing for us.
“I think things haven’t worked out quite as he had hoped at Dorchester. He perhaps hadn’t performed as well as he would have liked and he was down the pecking order.
“He just wanted to be playing regularly and from our point of view we know what he is all about.
“It did come out of the blue but we had a chat, he thought about it over the weekend and he has decided to come back. He’ll be available for Saturday’s home game with Bitton (3pm), which is great.”
