PERFECT RECORDS BLEMISHED
09/09/2012
No team has a 100 per cent record in the Kent Hurlimann League Premier Division any more after Saturday's action.

Erith Town travelled to Tunbridge Wells and were deflowered, goal-wise, when Andy McMath became the first to breach the Dockers goal after 577 minutes of league football. Lee Craig hit the Dockers equaliser midway through the second half. Town remain on top of the league with a three point gap between them and 2nd place.

Erith & Belvedere missed the chance to capitalise on the Dockers' slip as they too lost their 100 per cent record with a 2-2 draw at Canterbury City. Justin Ascheri gave Canterbury a 1-0 half time lead with his 15th minute strike. In the second half Drew Crush equalised on the hour mark then substitute Richmond Kissi gave the Deres the lead on 81 minutes. Stephen Bains came to Canterbury's rescue with an 83rd minute leveller. The Deres remain in 2nd place

Cray Valley PM went into the depths of Surrey to meet Whyteleafe and returned 2-0 victors. Both Valley goals came in the final seven minutes from Mo Conteh and Chris McGinty. Cray are in 4th place.

Lordswood are in 5th place after a 5-2 victory at Fisher. Craig Harvey put Lords 2-0 up with a brace in the first 24 minutes before Damien Ramsamy pulled one back for the Fish before half time. Early in the second half Steve O'Donnell levelled but within five minutes Adam Hooper restored Lords lead then Lee Maskell hit a brace to round off a good win for Lordswood.

Deal Town went to Greatness Park to meet Sevenoaks Town and came away 1-0 winners. Josh Pain sealed the deal for Deal in the 77th minute. Deal are 6th.

Rochester United lead from the 15th minute by a Stuart Zanone strike in their game at Holmesdale but, with two minutes left to play Steve Strotten hit what was surely a point saving goal. Not so. In the dying seconds Michael Brown found the net and Rochester took the prize.

Corinthian salvaged a point in the 89th minute in their home game against Woodstock Sports. Ashley Baverstock and Lewis Rivett gave Woodstock a 2-0 half time lead but, in the 83rd minute Alfie May made it 1-2 and with just a minute remaining Ben Wilson hit the saver.

In Division One, Whitstable Town are now the only Kent League 100 per cent-ers as they came back from 0-1 at half time to beat Margate 2-1. Erith Town go into 2nd place after their comprehansive 4-0 win at home to Rusthall while 3rd placed Maidstone United had a best of nine win at home to Holmesdale and Herne Bay hit six for two in reply at Phoenix Sports. Deal Town were top scorers with a 7-1 win against Woodstock Sports.
