HOPKINS TAKES SPHINX HELM 29/09/2012
Baker Joiner Midland Football Alliance club Coventry Sphinx have appointed former player Luke Hopkins as their new first team manager.
Hopkins will take over the Siddeley Avenue club’s hot-seat immediately from caretaker boss Andy Taylor.
The new Sphinx gaffer has been within the set-up for many years.
Club chairman Danni Cahill said: “Luke has a real passion for the football club.
“He has managed to pull together a tremendous team of back room staff who will assist him in what is a very time consuming and pressure role.
“Following the departure of Danny McSheffrey and Lee Knibbs at the end of last season it was always going to be a real challenge in replacing them partially from outside the reaches of the club.
“But Luke is the ideal candidate and fits the role profile perfectly.”
