PLUMMER ANTICIPATES BIG WEEK 01/10/2012
Manager Chris Plummer is looking forward to “two massive games” for Blue Square Bet North club Corby Town this week.
The Steelmen maintained their good form since Plummer took over with a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Gainsborough Trinity in the Blue Square Bet North on Saturday.
But there is no rest for the wicked and Corby are now preparing for a big game against fellow strugglers Droylsden at Steel Park on Wednesday night.
That is followed by next weekend’s FA Cup third qualifying round clash at league rivals Histon and boss Plummer (pictured) realises how important the next few days are.
“They are two massive games for us,” he said.
“Droylsden are down there with us and had a good win at the weekend so they will be feeling better about themselves.
“It is a very important game and it just leads into another one on Saturday.
“We want to do well in the FA Cup this season so it is important that the lads recover well and be ready for a key few days.
“There are a few niggles in the squad and it is up to us to manage those in the right way.”
