FAREHAM LOSE WARREN TO RIVALS 01/10/2012
Fareham Town's popular full back Ollie Warren has left the club and joined Sydenhams Wessex League rivals Horndean.
Warren was a popular player both with his team mates and supporters alike and he will be missed.
Fareham boss Matt Parr (pictured) said: "With the size of the squad we have, Ollie's chances of regular football here would have been limited and it was only fair that once an opportunity to play regularly elsewhere came up that we allowed him to do so.
"He will be missed for his banter, but leaves on the best of terms and I'm sure you'll join me in wishing him all the best for the future."
Warren said: "(I'm) gutted to be leaving. I absolutely loved my time at Fareham, but all good things have to come to an end. I'd like to thank you all for your support and encouragement and banter in my time at the club and I am sure you will soon get the success you crave and deserve."
Warren made 76 league and cup appearances for Fareham, making his debut in Parr's first game in charge on Valentines Day 2009, in a 2-0 victory at Bemerton Heath Harlequins.
