ANOTHER KETTERING MATCH OFF 12/10/2012
Kettering Town’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division home game with Bideford tomorrow has been postponed.
It is the second successive match that the crisis-stricken Poppies have had called off after player unavailability resulted in the clash at Leamington on Tuesday also being pulled.
The news comes with Kettering fighting for their existence and the Southern League have also confirmed the club have been given until 4pm on Monday to show that they can stage Tuesday’s Red Insure Cup home tie with Arlesey Town.
The Southern League said in a short statement that tomorrow’s game at Nene Park is off because there will be no electricity at the ground after it was cut off earlier this week due to unpaid bills.
It is understood that at least one consortium is continuing talks with majority shareholder Imraan Ladak over a potential takeover but it is also believed that will be based on the Nene Park stadium also being sold to them.
However, news is now emerging of another group coming forward for talks as well.
